| - Need European inspired furniture that's pretty affordable but requires manual labor? Head to the Swedish blue building - IKEA! If you're not familiar with the megastore then what rock have you been living under? Most major cities now include the furniture giant, and it's always a great place to walk through, collect ideas, enjoy some swedish meatballs, and perhaps outfit an entire spare room for under $500? I always enjoy perusing the knick knacks like framing, lighting, kitchen supplies, and general kid stuff. This is the place to stock up on those household necessities you never knew you needed- $2 cutting boards, $3 laundry baskets, and a massive tupperware collection for $5. While the quality is not super high, you are paying quite a bit less in most cases so it's hard to complain. Go to IKEA for the experience, leave with the awesome $4 cinnamon rolls. There's dedicated family parking near the entrance, (off to the side) so look for that if you're visiting with little ones.
Make the experience even better- plug into some headphones and shop while listening to indie hipster music!
