Come for happy hour! It's the perfect timing to eat before going to a show. 4-7pm. Good sushi and appy selection that's half price. Their HH is more about the food than drink. Limited selection of lower priced drinks and cocktails aren't part of the deal at all. Surprisingly good little deserts for $4.
Their sushi is much better than your average place. Very fresh with tender rice makes it worth it whether you're paying half or full price. The menu is pretty traditional. No weird combo rolls here. Just great quality. The creativity on the menu is in the hot and cold appetizers. Yum.
One bummer thing is their cocktails. Don't bother. I tried 2 - a ginger lychee mojito where I couldn't taste the ginger and the lychee and mint were served as garnish and not in the drink. So this drink was a rum and lime where the lime was a tart mixer. I don't like like my cocktails deconstructed thanks. So I tried a different drink...Cant remember the name but it was supposed to be a spicy vodka lime cocktail. Again the drink came deconstructed with the chili skewered on top as a garnish so the drink itself wasn't spicy. The lime was so tart I asked for simple syrup to sweeten it up and make it drinkable. Insult to injury, both the drinks came in short glasses with one huge ice cube that took up almost the whole glass do you couldn't possibly mix in the 'deconstructed' drink components. Avoid the cocktails! Stick with the food.
