Monta was the perfect end to our Vegas trip. We came in on a Sunday a little before 6pm and were seated right away. Shortly after there was a wait list. This is not the place to come with a large group, and there isn't a lot of seating.
We started with the Fried Rice. It comes in a regular or small size and since 3 of us were sharing, we ordered the regular. The portion isn't very big so if you want a lot I suggest ordering 2. It had tons of flavor and even chopped pieces of chashu. We all loved it and it was a nice compliment to our ramen.
My choice was the Miso Ramen. It consists of a pork and chicken broth with miso and medium-thick wavy noodles. I was determined to choose a ramen with those noodles instead of the thin ones, and I am glad I did. The noodles had just the right amount of chew, the chashu was tender, and the broth was packed with flavor. You must add the flavored egg. It was tasty, although it would be nice if they had the option for a poached egg.
A flavorful and unique choice is the Kuro Ramen Black Garlic Oil. It has tonsssss of roasted black garlic and a taste unlike anything I have tried before. Because of add-ons the total with tip for the 3 of us was $46 which I felt was fair. Next time we are craving ramen in Vegas, this will be our stop.
