  • When I first heard of cronuts, it was in New York. I didn't want to waste hours of my precious New York trip to line up for cronuts so I resumed my happy Canadian life never knowing what cronuts taste like. Until I found Montreal's D Liche makes them!!!! This adorable little place is a cupcake shop owned by the most adorable people. The cronut was delicious and they're not light with filling!! Their other baked goods are just as amazing and they bake everything with love. Because they asked ME! They were watching me (in the most non-creepy way) because they were worried that the cookie wasn't good enough. "How do you think? Was the cookie too soft? I was going for a brownie/cookie texture but it might be too soft. Some people don't really like it too soft." I apologize because I forgot the exact wording. Anyways he caught me by surprise!! I was sitting near the door (far from the bakers) and in my head I thought "are you talking to me?" It felt like my best friend cooking for me for the first time and being super nervous. I'm not sure why you're so nervous, everything was delicious and perfect ;) But I do understand. It is love! I AM IN LOVE with D Liche!!
