| - I have zero (0) regrets about responding to my first Facebook advertisement. Yes I melted 23.2 pounds in six (6) weeks at The Camp in Gilbert as a first time Challenger. I'm thrilled! It's not a gimmick. There is no pill. It's work, but THEY share their process that works for most - and it worked for me too. I needed the support, structure and accountability.
I MOSTLY needed to admit I knew less about nutrition, portion control and food choices than I thought. More exercise without addressing my food and meal choices would have been pointless. I wrestled a bit with what I wanted right now versus most of all, but that got easier week to week and meal to meal.
Weeks #1 and #2 were physically tough given I've mostly omitted fitness and health (taken it for granted) for about nine (9) years... I did a lot of "modified" exercise forms. Weeks #3 and #4 and #5 I felt different, better, stronger and was losing weight AT THE SAME TIME and improving my exercise form. That amazed me; as a veteran, former Varsity athlete and always a team sports guy as well as previous runner I thought I had seen it all - but no! This was different, and better than what I'd done before. A lot of the exercises were new to me, and the mix was different too. Several I would not have chosen to do on my own, but here I wouldn't skip anything as I wanted the process to work for me too.
The best part for me in hindsight was not even the weight loss, but the positive coaching and constant support from Trainers, Staff, the Owners, the Camp Director and all the other Challengers and regular gym Members I met along the way that had also chosen to change their lives at the same time. After passing through those doors everything else became easier to deal with, life and work, outside the gym.
It's not a cult or competition. It's simply a personal question.. what do you want for yourself? For me.. I wanted more life, more energy and fit in each step, each breath, each day. Now I've finished my first challenge successfully, and opted to continue my journey in a second challenge to melt more weight because frankly I need this for myself. I wish you the best in your journey and hope to see you at The Camp.
