  • On 12/19/17 I went in to do some Christmas gift shopping and started at the wine department. When I called the store and asked if they still has Maize Valley Winter Wine,They said YES.I went there at 8:45 pm and looked everywhere and NOBODY in the area to help but found the other Maize Valley wines and they were OUT after 10 minutes of looking. So I walked into the Liquor store section and I had planned on spending about $100 on Liquor since they were out of the wine I wanted to buy for family. There was a woman with long hair in there and as soon as I walked inside this RUDE employee said in a very LOUD voice to the other male employee behind the counter..."HEY WHAT TIME IS IT ?" He answered just as LOUD...."ONE MINUTE TILL WE CLOSE !" Nobody spoke to me or asked IF I need help...Just RUDE and CRUDE to get the last customer OUT OF THE STORE ! I left and went to the grocery side to shop. Got all my items and went to self check out. After scanning 2 cans of cat food the register said...help is required...remove all items that are NOT scanned. There were 2 cans in the bag and BOTH were scanned and the white lady with dark hair told me ...."I am putting money into this machine and when I am done I will come over". She finished after about 3 minutes while I stood there. She did N-O-T even say sorry for the delay....Just looked at me and said...whats wrong? I told her what happened and she just said it is fine,Keep scanning and walked away. I scanned the next can and it did the same thing. I waited for her to come back and when she did...again,no kind of SORRY ABOUT THAT....she just put in some code and walked away. I scanned a few more other things and a red box popped up that required her attention again.I looked and she was putting shopping carts away and did NOT have another 10 minutes to waste with another RUDE Giant Eagle employee. I left the order there half bagged and in the cart,Drove up the road to ACME on Bailey Road and experienced a 200% turn around in POLITE CUSTOMER SERVICE and HELPFUL EMPLOYEES that you can tell are HAPPY to be there working. I had bought OVER $300 in GIFT CARDS earlier the same day at Giant Eagle and will NOT return to Giant Eagle unless they begin selling ACME FRESH MARKET GIFT CARDS,where my family will NOW shop.....FOREVER....NOT the mention if you COMPARE the 2 stores Giant Eagle is MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE for the SAME items !
