  • I want to start off by saying that I got a Groupon to this place thankfully! I would've never paid full price for the service I got. When I was trying to set up the appointment by calling no one would answer or pick up the phone it took me two days to realize that you have to press the button that says it's an urgent call to actually get someone on the phone with you. When I finally set up the appointment and went to the place it was very nice and very clean and my technician was very nice but she didn't remove a lot of the hair. (I was getting a Brazilian wax) The process took longer than what I'm used to and it was pretty painful and she kept trying to go over and over certain spots to get the hair so I was pretty over it by then. I rescheduled my appointment thinking next time would be better but the whole experience ended up being worse. I got crazy in grown hairs that were so painful and so big it threw me off the whole entire experience. I've been going to Pretty Kitty for years every 9 weeks and I've never had in grown hairs like this from them and they would get ALL of the hair from the root I always left there smooth and completely without hair. When it came time for my appointment they told me that they sent out a text message that I never got. The appointment was eight weeks later so I totally forgot the date and time so I missed the appointment. That was completely my fault! But then again I never confirmed the appt by text mesg or by person anyways when I was on the phone with the employee she said if I didn't reschedule again they will charge my card 53 dollars. I really didn't want to reschedule because of the in grown hairs I received from my first appt and how painful it was but I was like that's ridiculous to charge me 53 dollars. So I reschedule a few more times. I had my period during one appt so I rescheduled and I babysit my nephew a lot so I had to reschedule again and every time I tried to completely cancel an appt they said they would charge me 53 dollars. Finally this last time I tried to reschedule they said I can't reschedule anymore and they are going to charge me 53 dollars. I spoke to the owner on the phone and she would not hear me out even when I explained to her I tried canceling the first time because I didn't want to come back. It was a horrible experience all around. Reading other reviews I see other people have experienced them not removing the hair completely and it being painful and having in grown hairs. Good luck to anyone who goes to Wax Hair Removal Bar for a Brazilian! No where in their texts messages does it say they'll charge you even though the owner on the phone said it does! UPDATE: My name is Nichole not Nicole if you feel the need to correct my review at least spell my name right! And I don't know why the owner would feel the need to "correct" my review anyway? I clearly said I forgot about the first appt because it was weeks later and I clearly said I had my period during one appt so I rescheduled. And I was babysitting my 8 month old nephew during the other two appts. I'm sorry I didn't make it to a phone to cancel! The last time I tried to reschedule I was told I couldn't and that I would be charged. If the text mesgs are just a courtesy then why have a link to confirm the appt at all? But thank you for the response! I already have a place! It's called the Pretty Kitty! I recommend it to everyone! They have over 100 reviews on Yelp while this place only has 30 :)
