  • For a family run operation the words CUSTOMER SERVICE aren't in Spectrapure's vocabulary. The owner Charles should be ashamed of his actions and those of his new employees: After doing business with Spectrapure almost 2 decades I will never use their products or company again. When I place orders with Spectrapure I have always walked in had them fill my order and I'd be on my one. Two weeks ago I called into Spectrapure for some pricing and information about some of the companies new products. A man named Brian answered and I introduced myself. I was informed Brian that sales representative Jeremy who I'd be dealing with nearly a decade was no longer with the company. I sensed an attitude in his voice the minute we got on the phone which was surprising to me as I had never spoken to him before. I then simply asked Brain a couple questions regarding some of the new products. I could tell immediately he wasn't educated or knowledgeable on any of the products I was asking about. I also sensed that every time I asked Brian another question he was becoming more and more impatient and frustrated with me. After realizing this employee was going to be of no assistance answering my questions about the new product I simply asked him speak to his boss. He told me, "I don't have a manager". I then asked if he was in charge to which he responded he was. I then told him I'd like to speak with Charles, the owner. Brian said he would have Charles call me back. I waited 6 hours without so much as a phone call. I did call back later that day and asked to speak to Charles. Brian told me, "Charles doesn't want to speak with you". Never in my entire life have I ever heard an owner tell and employee to relay a message like that to a customer. I have never been so insulted not only by Brian but now the owner Charles. I told Brian if the owner wasn't going to speak to me that I'd like him to walk into Charles office and tell him I'd be closing my account. He said he was not going to do that, then said he would be closing my account and hung up the phone on me. I have since found RO/DI media from one of the leading online resellers for filtration media. It far exceeds the quality of the Spectrapure products I'd been using for 1/3 the cost!!! Not only does this vendor appreciate me as a customer but they also value my business and go above and beyond for me. Sooooooo happy Brian turned me away from Spectrapure and allowed me to find out how much I had been overpaying for filtration media all these years later.
