Five-star Fish N' Chips and Five-star Guinness pours.
Regarding all the love it/hate it review inconsistencies: this restaurant/bar is a chameleon of sorts. It's one color during the day and another at night. It's complicated even more so depending on whether school is in session or not. Lunch on a weekday in the summer yields friendly waitresses in a history-rich, inviting restaurant. Visit on a Friday or Saturday evening in the fall and you can expect a rushed/stressed wait staff and a packed house of loud, drink-loving college students. Each has their pros and cons, but the experience may be drastically different from one visit to the next.
