After years of living in Pittsburgh I finally came here with a camp-anion before she left town as she had never eaten here either. We showed up to the door and we waited, and waited.... and waited.
The line was out the door and up the sidewalk, mostly people out of town.
We finally get in and to be honest I was ready for a let down another over hyped place that relied on its name rather than its food. Thankfully I was wrong!
Menu is quite large there are alot of breakfast staples and some new twists on classics so there is something for everyone. People are packed in a bit tight but I guess it beats waiting in line longer.
I got a eggs bacon and pancakes and my companion got the California omelette and a milkshake. Food came out pretty quick and was really good and the portions were generous.
Definitely lived up to the hype and was high quality diner food.
Only let down was it being cash only. I know its Pittsburgh and some places that still dont accept credit cards but for a place that is pretty centrally located and has people flock to from out of town I think they need to get with the times and fork over that 2% to the credit card companies.
