Wanted to do a water adventure in vegas and came across this. I went in November and since it's off season, you have to make reservations. During off season, the only place you can depart is the village marina. It doesn't really matter where you depart because the lake connects to all 3 locations listed on the website and you just have to paddle there.
Each equipment is 25 bucks. Thus it is cheaper to do double kayaking instead of a single. Even in November, the weather was beautiful. The lake was nice and serene. Not a lot of people in in. The lake is pretty large. On the banks are gorgeous houses. There are also three small beaches where you can dock your boat.
We opted for the one hour rental we paddled way past the halfway point near the edge of the river where it's all dessert scenery and came back. An hour is sufficient enough to enjoy kayaking and the lake.
Tips: make reservations! Check in on yelp for 10 percent off. Wear a hat or sun glasses and of course bring sunscreen! Also you park in the hotels near the golf resort.
