| - This was close to one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The single star was solely because my food was delicious. Let's just start by saying that on a Tuesday at 11:30pm the restaurant was moderately busy but at the end of a the dinner rush. We were greeted and promptly seated on the first floor on the other side of the wall from the bar. We sat for a moment until our server came to ask us what we wanted to drink, we told her we were still looking at the menu, to which she returned about 10 minutes later. After placing our drink order (a bourbon peach spritzer, a whisky tango foxtrot, and vodka double), it took at least 20 minutes to receive our beverages. Being in the industry myself, I totally understand being in the weeds and then having to make specialty drinks which can be a couple steps between muddling, pouring, straining, etc. However, I watched the drinks sit in the well while we sat at our table waiting. Mine was good, however the foxtrot was absolutely awful. Between being strong and outstandingly tart it was extremely unsatisfying. One of our friends joined, and another 15 minutes to get his drink (a vodka red bull). We ordered food, which was also a slight wait, but nothing we didn't expect at the end of the night, however we ordered bacon and spinach dip as an appetizer and got it with our meal so we sat hungry until our food finally came. As we were eating, my boyfriend who had ordered a dish that was supposed to have bacon on it did not receive his bacon, but the waitress came so few and far between we just decided to let it go since we had our bacon basket anyways. It was 10
minutes until midnight, to celebrate my birthday, we ordered a round of fireball, which we did not receive until 10 minutes after midnight. I was ready for a second drink, and was nervous to try another specialty drink, so I ordered a double peach and tea which is what my friend was drinking at the table with me, thee bartender came back and said they were out of peach, no problem I'll take citrus and sprite, she came back to the table again asking what flavor I said? Mandarin? Sure, just pour a drink whatever is fine. When she came back, 15 minutes later, my friend at the table asked her twice for another drink (vodka red bull) and she ignored him twice...but 15 minutes later brought him a drink. The over all experience was so mediocre which was a shame because I spoke very highly of the restaurant to my friends who had never been. Our waitress was so unfriendly it was almost rude and was only attentive when it was time to cash out like she was waiting to leave. Sad because I love coming for brunch, but am not sure we will ever be back.
