| - Store layout is odd, product assortment is of never-heard-of brands alternating with overpriced name brands. The "Employee owned" claims that this chain trumpets, while great romance, are little more than paper claims, not backed by right-to-sell, right-to-will and not in perpetuity. That's not ownership, but it does make for a great labor romance tale.
Some great prices on Shasta Cola, dry pasta and less than Grade A produce. Some great buys to be had, but also some long lines. These Winco stores lack the polish of a Smith's, Von's, Walmart or Albertson's. Come here to load up on the handful of cheap items in the add, otherwise it's not worth the floor traffic. Now I hear they killed a dog, DOGS, plural. As a dog owner it makes me wonder if poison is to be found in their bulk oatmeal. Another reason to avoid unless absolutely necessary.
