My son has been to this Viva Salsa a number of times since he lives in the area. He said it was really good. We stopped to look at the menu and I asked a table of people if it was good and the said "Delicious" and we're locals that come often. Ok, I'm warming to it-even though it looks like a fast food snack bar.
My husband ordered the 2 enchiladas. Both beef as they were out of shredded chicken and would 10 minutes more until the next batch was out. I got the taco salad (recommended by folks that I spoke to) and son got a taco. It took a bit because they were busy (good sign).
The order came up and everything looked really good. The enchiladas were good-not spectacular-but for $6.99 for 2 enchiladas, rice, beans and a drink, they were great! The taco salad was filled with shredded beef, olives, with less lettuce than the typical. The taco shell was nicely browned and was not greasy at all.
There was a salsa bar with tasty pico de gallo and other salsas, and spicy refried beans. I tried the refried beans and pico de gallo on the taco salad and they were both really good. I couldn't eat but half the taco salad so my son finished it.
We would definitely go back for a quick lunch. The food is pretty good and the price is great. There is even a Yelp check in offer for shrimp and crab enchiladas.
