First time here last week for a night game. Seats in row 'O' on first base side. The seating and night lighting made this place shine. Great weather made it that much better. It was just an amazing park to see a game at. The bratwurst sandwich was superb. The sweet roasted nuts were perfect. I can't recommend this park enough. I haven't been here for a day game. It looks like there is little shading. If you like getting burned, I found your spot. For night games, this is also the place to be. Either way, for those seeking sun or shade this place is great. Padres and Mariners make this their home field.
ONLY BAD POINT: Traffic/parking lot.
As for parking, this stadium is close to the freeway exit and a huge shopping area. The city has done very little to make any concessions for the extra traffic on game day/night. The signals are set for shopping traffic, so when there are lots of cars for the game, only a few cars make it through the lights as you are competing with shopping center and stadium traffic. The parking lot did a very poor job of directing traffic out. That was the only negative part of it all. Coming here again for sure. Northbound, I will take Thunderbird Rd off ramp then take 83rd Ave north to the stadium. Getting off at Bell Rd was not a good move.
This still wasn't enough to make me not really like this park.
The Padres beat the Royals, so that was the cherry on top.
