  • Ok first of all I want to say that the owner Bogi is an excellent mechanic and she was the one that always used to work on my cars, but she no longer works in the shop. Our nightmare first started when we had hired a mobile mechanic to come and replace our alternator. He lost the bolt that held the alternator onto the bracket and rigged it with a bolt he had in his truck and assured us it was fine. Well it wasn't fine and ended up coming loose so that is when I decided to bring it into 180 auto. I told them what had happened and so they took a look at it and told me that the bolt had caused damage to the belts so we needed to replace them as well as the bolt and also recommended replacing the alternator bracket but assured me after putting the bolt and the belts back on that the car would be fine without replacing the bracket. Well the next day after we got our car back the battery kept dying( the alternator wasn't charging the battery) and the rattling sound came back from the alternator. We brought the car back and they told us that it was the other bolt on the alternator that had become stripped( not the one they had replaced) strange coincidence...and blamed it on the last mechanic. So they said that the bolt hooks into the timing cover and we needed a new timing cover in order to get the bolt to stay on. They also said that we might as well replace the timing chain since they were replacing the cover even though there was nothing wrong with the timing chain($500 extra). We refused to replace the timing chain but gave them the OK on the timing cover. A couple days later the timing cover came back and come to find out there is no bolt that screws into the timing cover. So they got a blueprint and said they found out that it was instead the oil pump that needed to be replaced because that's where the bolt screws into. The oil pump came back and come to find out that was also the wrong part. They then told us that we needed A new alternator because the other alternators hole was too wide from the bolt rubbing(which was true) so we went and exchanged the alternator and paid the difference and purchased a better quality alternator. They then told us that all they were waiting on now was the alternator bracket. So the only things that really needed to be replaced in the first place were the alternator and the alternator bracket. so the part came in and they give us a call and told us we were good to go to come pick up our car and it was fixed. So the next morning my wife goes to pick up the car at 180 and low and behold it doesn't start. So they jumped my wife's car and send her on her way with no explanation on why the car was not fixed( mind you this is after my wife already paid them)! Which they first quoted us $200 for the alternator bracket but then when we came and picked up our car it ended up being $333 with no explanation for the extra charge. The customer service from the mechanic was horrible as well as the ability of the mechanic was horrible. When my wife had confronted him about why he would give her a car that wasn't working after she had already given up her car and paid the bill. He told her well that would make a lot of sense going and starting all 20 cars that I work on every day. Well I'm sorry in my opinion the five seconds it takes to start a car before telling a customer it's ready is worth it. Also our car is not fixed and we are almost $1000 in the hole with a huge paperweight in our carport. Thanks 180 for the horrible service you have given us. The only reason I did not give one star is because of the attitude of bogey and the people in the office has always exceeded my expectations. But come on, I know you guys are better than this
