I recently stayed at Mountain Shadows for a staycation. We got a cabana and spent the day at the pool. The cabana's are really nice and comfortable, the service at the pool was great tho I didn't order any food.
I really like the bar downstairs for happy hour. The live music was awesome and the seating is comfortable.
The rooms are modern and clean. We stayed in the Immerse Premium King. The view of camelback was amazing at Sunset. There's a really nice bathing area that faces the mountain. The bed was comfortable though I would have liked pillows with a little more support.
There was a nice mix of younger and older guests and limited children- which I prefer. I think somebody of any age would feel comfortable there.
The service from the valet, to the front desk, to the bar/restaurant and even housekeeping was above average. They really went out of their way to make sure you felt comfortable and had everything you need. They were always polite and prompt.
The food and drinks are pricey just like any resort in Scottsdale but the Food at Hearth 61 was outstanding. They offer a wide variety of dishes and between our table of 4 we tried a lot of them. Each course was served at the exact right moment and each dish they brought was amazing. I highly, highly recommend that you visit the restaurant during your stay, or if you're a local just for a night out - It was absolutely the highlight of our stay there.
