The Wheat Sheaf Tavern is this cool dive-y bar on the corner of King and Bathurst. The place itself is rather large and being that it's right on the corner of a pretty busy intersection, it gets its fair share of foot traffic. The interior is pretty dim and surrounded by an array of TVs and flags on the wall.
Had the swiss burger ($9.95), while the party shared a large nacho platter ($13.95). The swiss burger was decent enough. The bun was nice and toasted, but the burger patty itself was a bit too charred for my liking. It comes with melted swiss cheese, mushrooms, and nice big slices of bacon on top and served with steak fries. The nachos were pretty good too as almost every bite had cheese.
It's open til real late so a nice spot for club and bar goers to stop in and have a bite to eat. Their patio is rather nice, but closed for the season now. Worth a stop if you're looking for a decent meal to go with some drinks.
