  • PATIENT BEWARE! I recently moved to Henderson from Seattle, where I had regular checkups and cleanings every four months. I chose this office due to location, Yelp reviews, and plus they were having a 49.00 special for xrays/cleaning/exam. Sounds good, right? WRONG! I got in after a short wait, personnel was very friendly. After getting a complete set of xrays, the dentist did the exam and told me I had serious problems due to really deep gum pockets and this needed to be addressed ASAP. He recommended a deep cleaning, planing, etc., and said two areas would also need periodontal work, with a specialist they use. The price for all this was over 2,100.00, NOT including periodontal work, just the initial exam from the periodontist. Since I do not have dental insurance, they sent in a gal from the accounting department who told me they would discount the bill from 2,100.00 to 634.00, and set me up on a payment plan. I told them I would think about it, and walked out in shock. I then went to another dentist a friend recommended, and, after another set of xrays and another exam by the dentist, I was told the EXACT same thing my dentist in Seattle said, that while I do have gum pockets, they were not deep enough to need anything other than the daily brushing and flossing which I already perform, and regular 4-6 month cleanings! I am so upset over the misleading if not outright dishonesty of Green Valley Modern Dentistry that I felt I had to write this review. PLEASE, please either avoid this place or, at the very least, get a second opinion before agreeing to any procedure.
