| - My husband is a big fan of this chain and will seek it out whenever he travels. So naturally, on our recent vacation to the burg, we stayed at a Hampton Inn. This one is conveniently located downtown, close to many attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The Senator Heinz History Center is right across the street, and the very lovely restaurant Eleven is a short walk down the block. Another huge perk is that parking is included, and parking really sucks downtown and will cost you your lunch money. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Small fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in rooms. Their standard breakfast bar is open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. It's nothing fancy, but gets the job done. If you stay on the weekend, I recommend you wear the standard uniform--black and gold Steelers shirt--or stick out like a sore thumb. And if you are a coffee guzzler---coffee is available all day long! Sometimes cookies too! But you have to hurry up and beat the Cookie Monster!
PS--High Marks to the housekeeping staff. If you put out the do not disturb sign, they slide a note under your door letting you know how to get them back before noon or how to request new towels if you skip the cleaning. And they always left us little treats (chocolates and Oreos).
