The new Midwood Smokehouse speaks for itself when compared to the previous BBQ joint that resided in this space. I remember coming in before Midwood took over and having my pick of the tables at lunch - now you have to wait 5-10 minutes on most days. Service is however still quite fast, and my colleagues and I are typically able to get in and out within the hour.
Have tried several different options and enjoyed them all. The mac 'n cheese is a bit too cheesy for me, but the smoked veggies and collared greens are both delicious. Had the Abilene Press today and enjoyed the brisket and melted Gouda. Will definitely be coming back for more BBQ when back in the Ballantyne area!
