| - Sigh...I'm bummed I have to rate a local business 3 stars.
Was looking for BBQ off the highway as we were headed on a road trip and came across this place. I tried to order online but couldn't complete the order for whatever reason. So, I called and was greeted by a friendly employee who took my order. She initially said it would take 15-20 min, but said 10 when she heard we were coming up the highway. (Didn't request faster service, but it was a nice gesture).
I get there a few minutes after the time and they hadn't started on the food. Okay...well, maybe they had a weird rush at 3:30 on a Tuesday.
Then, one of the employees informed me that one of the sides (salad) was several days past its expiration. It was the only one they had. Boo, but yay! that they actually pay attention to their expiration dates. But it does seem kind of odd that it wasn't just yesterday it expired, that they ran out, and hadn't replenished. But...oh well, not meant to be healthy today.
We get our order around the 20 min mark (which is the length the employee initially said it would take) and hit the road. However, once we dig in (BBQ burritos is an awesome travel idea!) we see that they didn't get our order right, the mac and cheese noodles seemed...hard, and the fries didn't seem fresh.
If we give this place a second chance and it turns out great, I absolutely will update the rating. But for now, 3 is all I can give.
