I searched high and low for this place when I visited toronto. I was not about to leave without getting a whole box of the famous and delicious egg rolls (dan quen). After a few unsuccessful leads and sold-out vendors, I finally found the bakery hidden in a chinese mall away from the main chinatown. I was beyond happy and relieved that I finally found the place. I was able to buy half a dozen packages without a problem. The baker told me that normally, I would need to order in advance especially if it's during their busy season. The dan quens are freshly made and you get to stand there and see them make it in front of you. The dan quens are light, crispy and not too sweet. They go perfectly with coffee or tea. I can eat a whole pack in a day..that's how good it is! I also tried their egg waffles which weren't extraordinary. Every time there's a prospect of going to toronto, I think about the egg rolls there and how I can't wait to get my hands on it. Until then, I can only dream as they don't sell it in the states.
