| - I had a scratch on my passenger's side rear door, the kind of scratch as if someone grazed the side of my car, it wasn't awful but it was noticeable and it bothered me. I had left it for a couple weeks and within that time my car got pretty dirty so once the weatherman called for nice weather, I decided to give my car a wash.
After I washed my car and it was still wet, the scratch wasn't visible at all so I began to wonder if I should even bring it in to get fixed but once it dried up, the scratch was much more noticeable. Upset, I googled places around my work and Renu Auto was one that popped up.
I gave them a call and told them my situation, but they are unable to quote because they have to physically see the car. I didn't want to drive all the way there and be quoted an arm and a leg so I gave them a call again and asked if I could send photos. The guy mentioned I can send photos but they are usually not the best way to quote because picture quality isn't great and there could be a glare. I took the best pictures I could and sent them over. Within an hour they emailed me back with an approximate price so I headed over.
Renu is in an industrial area but its fairly straight forward on how to get there and where to park. I arrived and Ashley came out to see my car and the scratch. He said a wet sand and polish would get rid of 80-90% but since it is deeper in some areas than other, not 100%. He looked around and noticed another scratch on the passenger's side front bumper as well. He quoted me just the area scratch as well as a whole body job which would have been a more bang for my buck but primarily I wanted the rear door scratch to be gone, I didn't need any fancy schmancy re-painting and he didn't pressure me at all to go with the whole body.
He told me to drive my car over to the store front so he can take a closer look and polish to see if it was good enough. He literally did the wet sand and polish right in front of my eyes and like he said, got rid of 80-90% of the scratch, I was amazed. He also did the scratch he noticed on my front bumper which was awesome!!! He did this all right in front of my eyes and explained to me how it works and why it looks less visible. It was really neat to watch how they do their job!
Ashley helped me out on the spot and he was so great!! He is very knowledgeable and super helpful. Prices are very reasonable as well!! I would say the service here is top notch and I would highly recommend going to Renu for an area scratch or a full body service on appearance!!!
