| - I'm not very experienced with cigar bars, but this is definitely terrible customer service. The manager completely disregarded us as we walked in, and disappeared when my friend and I had questions to answer about their products, which were rather disorganized in a crowded humidor.
A really cool dude took a few minutes to explain different brands and colors to me, and to my surprise, he didn't even work there! There's a very tight-knit group of gentlemen who sit around watching sports and playing chess over cigars. They were having a potluck and sharing stories when I walked in, and I definitely felt like I was over at a friend's house.
But still, the manager isn't much for talking, and after ringing us up didn't even point out the cigar cutters available for customers who wanted to enjoy the lounge. He didn't help with anything. ANYTHING. On one hand, Fair Oaks is doing something right to have such a cult following, but on the other hand, newcomers like me are left with the impression that management just gives zero f*cks. I am still on the fence about coming back.
