  • A little back story before I get to the point. I contacted your company as a referral from a good friend whom I will never second guess. They are related to one of the owners. It was pretty typical, I called, you answered, we discussed the issue, and you scheduled an appointment. (You called and confirmed the appointment via voicemail, as a personal preference I would prefer text or email. It is just quicker for me) So far amazing! From the information provided it was evident through bad HVAC design, system load, and the quality of my home builder that I will be replacing a compressor / heat pump every 8 years. (Home built in 04, quantity over quality, go figure) "Junior" came to my home, he was punctual to say the least. I asked of your company something few in the state have done. I wanted you to install two owner supplied mini-split condensers and seven heads. (For those of you who don't know what a mini-split is as I did not know a year ago, a mini-split is like having a hotel AC in every room / zone of your home, but at an unbelievable efficiency level. A good majority of the developed world uses these systems. They have figured out why spend the money to cool a room that is not being used; cool the parts that you live in? Each zone has its own thermostat / remote if you want to change rooms turn the temp down and the room is cool in about 5 minute or less) Junior looked at my request, ideas and completely amazed me. I say that with all sincerity. Not only did he understand my request he expanded on the ideas and improved them. He is the first of about 10 different companies and forums that have not even made it that far. When I told him that the equipment I wanted to purchase was about 7500 he guest-e-mated the install cost would be about the same; undenounced to Junior I was elated. He was concerned and properly so. He offered me options at a range of prices cheaper than what I wanted. We even discussed ten-year warranties on certain systems. (I wish I would have asked if the warranty was prorated, as I think we all know how that works, UGH, Sigh) I made it clear that my real concern was not cost but ROI (return on Investment). He discussed things that will cost me money upfront and higher electric bills in the long run (Electric bills about $400 a month for four months in the summer and the remaining months $100-200). With my ideas, the potential is for me to save approximately $800. In ten years I could save about $8000 dollars or more. Let me explain why I gave you four stars instead of five. First, you declined the project. Please, do not get me wrong, I fully understand why. I am an early adapter for this system in the state and that requires change and risk on both sides. My biggest disappointment is with the pride I would have had having Junior installing this system. Junior matched my information tic for tac. I work in IT field and I have only met a handful of people that can communicate this level of information on a human level. Junior had to get approval for this install and unfortunately the owner (I believe the owner.) weighed the risk a little too high. I think that if we had a proper discussion we could have mitigated your risk concerns with adding a couple of lines of verbiage to an agreement (for DOAs and install delays) and a hefty deposit. I am not a contract kind of person. (Only at work) I would not have left you hanging on $3000 worth of install materials without my cash being in your bank. Both sides have risk but the rewards could have been better. Imagine the bragging rights your company would have installing this system in a residential environment. About the first in the state for a runt of the mill track home. As some people see cost I see ROI. People in more expensive neighborhoods will also look at ROI and spend accordingly. I have weighed the risk and was prepared for the outcome, with Juniors high standard and thorough knowledge it would have been a win-win. Overall, my contact with your company was amazing even though it did not have the desired outcome. Thank you, ---For those readers that have made it this far please take head of this review. There is only one way I will take the time to write a review, an awesome experience or a terrible one. I took this time because this company is AWESOME. Please ignore my grammar, always in a rush nowadays. If you have questions, PM me. Thanks, D.
