| - If I could rate 0 stars, I would.
So I ordered a filing cabinet on 12/31/16 knowing that it was on back order and wouldn't be available immediately. On 1/18/17 I get a call saying it would be delivered on 1/19 between 12-2:30. 1/19 rolls around, my husband stays home from work to wait for it, and it never arrives. I called them back that evening and asked what's going on and they said it was canceled because the item was crushed and they didn't have an extra one available for delivery. They told me somebody would be in contact with me within approximately one week once the new piece came in to schedule a delivery. I never got a call, and then I was out of town for 2 weeks, and still didn't receive a call. I finally called them on 2/22 and asked what is going on and they told me that the item had been there for awhile and they were surprised nobody had contacted me. She scheduled my delivery for 2/24 and said on 2/23 I would be contacted with a window of delivery. At about 7:45 on 2/24 (after not being contacted on 2/23) I called them and asked if it was going to be delivered today. The woman I spoke with was very nice and apologetic and contacted the delivery manager who told her they would make a special delivery for me today by their "We fix it" crew. I asked for a time frame which was not given and explained I have dinner reservations that were made more than a month ago so I have to leave my house at 4:30 pm today, she said it would be no problem and they would be here long before that. I called at 3:45 pm after still not hearing a word and explained the entire situation over again, at which point they contacted the delivery staff and told me that they would be there at approximately 4:20 as they were just loading the truck and leaving the warehouse within 5 minutes or so. I again expressed that I need to be done with this by 4:30. At 4:11 I get a call stating they are not going to be able to deliver it to me within the next twenty minutes, because they can't find the item to load and deliver.
Side note - I was told since this was ordered online, I was on my own. Because I didn't order over the phone or in the store, I did not have a commissioned sales person to follow through so I am on my own to follow up with them to make sure my order is fulfilled.
If I didn't already own the matching desk, I would most definitely cancel my order.
This is absolutely pathetic. If they offer online services, they should offer the customer service to go along with that. The store is technically making more money since nobody is getting a commission off of it - so can't they put that money towards the service that can be provided to customers who like to shop on line?
Such a load of crap. Here I am nearly 2 months after my order and I still do not have a filing cabinet.
