We were really looking forward to going here for a very late breakfast after church. We got there at 12:45. The place was pretty empty. We decided to eat on the patio. The server seated us. It took awhile for menus. My husband was just about to get up to find menus when she brought them out after us sitting there almost 10 minutes. We ordered coffee which she brought out fairly quickly. Not only was mine cold, but it was weak and old tasting. I couldn't/didn't even drink it. My husband ordered the standard Eggs Benedict with extra hollandaise. He asked to have the grits instead of potatoes. I ordered the corned beef hash benedict with fruit instead of potatoes. If another benedict comes with fruit, I find it ridiculous that I would have to pay extra to get the fruit instead of potatoes. The food came out. My husband's benedict had absolutely no hollandaise. Didn't the cook see this before he sent it out? So now there is no hollandaise or extra. The eggs on both benedicts were poached to the hard stage. The grits were downright nasty. We were paying extra for them since he didn't want potatoes. We sent them back. They were dry, lumpy, just nasty. My husband is from the south. We eat grits a lot.
Needless to say, as long as we have been wanting to try this place, never, never again.
The upside? Our server was pleasant.
