  • As many previous reviewers have said, they (and I blame the company and its policies, not the workers) have policies that will screw you over if you don't watch. I went in to cancel my membership one day after my monthly billing date (June 26 to cancel my membership for August), and I was a day late so they wouldn't do anything for me and I'll pay an extra month when I'll be driving across the country and won't be using it. The company doesn't care at all, wants as much money as it can get, and builds this into their policies so that even a manager can't help customers with a situation like this. Also my dad signed up both of my brothers as a gift some years ago and didn't realize their accounts were still active (some confusion: my brothers assumed they would be 1 year, my dad assumed my brothers would use them until they left town and then cancel). LA Fitness kept charging my dad for 4 years without notifying my dad in any way even after my brothers hadn't come in for a long time. After my dad figured this out and went in to talk to them, they wouldn't refund him any money despite him being a loyal member for years. Before my dad figured out this ongoing membership thing, I signed up and brought both of my brothers in for free trials. LA Fitness tried to sign both of them up for new accounts without even telling us that they already had memberships. They even asked my brothers if they had been members before (they said yes) and how much they had paid before to help determine their rate offers, but felt no need to tell us that they already had memberships. What????? Don't get into this uncaring money-sucking black hole of a company.
