I quite like the Village Idiot Pub, (L'idiot du village). The food has always been far above pub food from what I've had. A list of rotating specialty items of the day is usually decent and has included an decadent Linguini with cream sauce and salmon. The burgers are supposedly OK, but the fries are big chunky ones.
Tons of beers to choose from. The Hoegarten is served in the appropriate bucket-shaped glass. With a orange wedge- Classy!
During World Cup or Euro cup games, they bring in a TV for the games. The garage door windows open onto the street when the weather is nice, but the interior is very cozy in the winter. An all-seasons bar and pub. A nice place to go after an afternoon at the AGO, but somewhat contrasting to the calmness of the museum.
