Beware. I rented a car from Alamo. After I declined the insurance at the front desk, the clerk said that if I get a chip on the window that North Carolina was a not fault state so I would have to pay for it. When I went out for the car the representative just told us to pick a car and go. We drove the car up to the gate when we noticed that there was a chip in the windshield. We told the representative at the gate who said he would note the issue. Drove the car for the weekend and came back. We came back to check in and again pointed out the chip to the check in representative who we told the gate representative was suppose to have noted the issue. About two weeks later, I get a bill for the chip in the windshield. This is obviously a scam they use to cover the damage done before by customers who purchased their insurance. Take photo if you decide to use them and make the representative sign something for proof or refuse to take a car with any damage.
