| - My daughter has attended NCA for over a year and is on her way to Kindergarten. I can't say enough good things about this school, but I will try. Our family is Chinese so it was important to us that our daughter learn our language, not just English. What I hadn't considered was how much more she would learn from all of her great teachers at NCA. They are very kind and caring. She knows her ABCs, 123s, colors, shapes, writing, reading, and math (addition and subtraction - in double digits no less). My husband and I were just constantly amazed at the level of classwork that she was bringing home to show us and the wonderful part is that she loved learning. NCA established a good foundation for her when she enters the public school system. We wish NCA offered Kindergarten, but sadly it does not, but I intend to have her return to NCA in the summer for Mandarin as a Second Language courses as she grows. Children of all nationalities attend, not just Chinese students. She has English, African-American, and Hispanic classmates, among others so just because it's called Nevada Chinese Academy, it doesn't mean it's just for Chinese people.
I would highly recommend this school to any parent of preschoolers. It offers great value for what it would cost to put your child in daycare. This is so much more than having someone watching them play all day. I am so grateful that we found this school and wish that we had found it sooner so she could have been at NCA longer, but at least we know she is going to enter Kindergarten with pretty advanced skills. I know I certainly never learned all this stuff when I was in preschool or even Kindergarten.
