| - My girlfriend and I have recently moved out of the Lofts after a 13 month lease. The first part of our lease actually wasn't bad, maintenance was prompt, no bugs, with reasonably clean hallways and stairways. Seemed like a great place at a decent price in Tempe.
The problems started when the new management company came in and didn't keep up with everything the previous company was doing: beautification, keeping up with the extermination schedule, and regular maintenance on the gates on the property. It seemed as if once they took over they really didn't care about the property they just bought, because it became run-down pretty quick. Not to mention, we had a sudden onslaught of mice/ rats, insects, and cockroaches filling our hallways as we got out of our apartment. To this day, they blame the infestations on the canal thats behind the property, although before-hand it was never a problem. Maintenance was really hard to get in touch with; we had waited roughly 2 weeks to do laundry after a work order, because our washer broke down, only to be reassured every time we called that "they'd be on their way soon". Not to mention when we ended our lease, they charged us an extra month because we didn't "give a 30-day notice". Overall, this place isn't worth the price it's listed. Save yourself the experience and go someplace that's actually worth it.
