| - Very unprofessional environment?..where do I begin? I walk in and am not greeted by anyone. I finish shopping and go to check out, as I'm? watching my cashier check me out, she asks me if I want to sign up for their rewards program and I? politely decline, which makes her change her perky smile to a saddened blank face. She scanned one of my items and a receipt? printed out, she immediately smashed the receipt? and threw it away, I? asked why and to see it. It was expired makeup, Ulta was trying to get away with selling me expired makeup, the employee obviously was trained to just throw these papers out asap so no one can see what you are doing. Once my transaction was completed I was so uncomfortable by how the employee was treating me that I came out and asked her "why is it such a big deal that I didn't? want to give you my information for the rewards program"..she then proceeds to explain that if they don't? get sign-ups?, they don't? get hours. What kind of management? plan is that?? Not to mention how understaffed they were, only one cashier. I could see the manager on her phone constantly. Everything seemed very dirty and not organized. There was empty packaging scattered everywhere probably from thefts, honestly?, from what I saw, stealing would be the easiest thing here, not a single employee asked me if I? needed help, no one was on the floor, poor security. The saddest thing of all, there was one female employee probably under 20 yrs old or something at the register. The store was fairly full of customers, and there were all of these older employees (maybe managers of some sort) hovering over at the brow bar gossiping, laughing and making lots of noise..while guests are coming up to the cashier for help. (side note: the girls were gossiping with the brow bar stylist who was working on a client.. how rude. You should be paying attention to your client, not having a separate? conversation with friends. Managers should know better than to distract her while with a client) So this one young employee is running around helping people find what they need AND manning a register and line of customers while her managers are talking in the corner. I even heard one of the talking ladies rudely say to the young employee that she can't? leave the register. So what if someone asks for help, you say no?? The young girl was the only professional one there, just trying to do her job the best she can. She should get paid more than the managers, she obviously does more work, she manned the whole store by herself. Disgusting.
