I have been going here for emergencies for years with great care from the staff. This morning was the WORST treatment I've ever had. Dr. Nicole Keaner has the biggest ego and attitude I've ever seen. She's in the wrong business with her nasty behavior. She clarified to me that SHE'S the vet and a triage nurse is a NURSE when I questioned her against what the nurse had just told me. Wth? I was just repeating what I was told and was in no way diminishing her capacity as a vet. Her exact words, "I'm the doctor and she's a nurse!" After I told her that her attitude wasn't useful and her ego needed to be checked at the door, she apologized with an attitude. Really? Nice apology. She sounded like a childish brat that didn't like hearing what was said to her. She wanted my dog to have x-rays, but I just asked for the bill and took my poor baby somewhere else. I wouldn't have my worst enemy treated by that woman. The front office staff kept apologizing for her and offered me tissues because I was so upset. When pet parents come to an emergency room, they don't need to be spoken to like idiots. I was given the office manager's card and was asked several times to call her and complain. She's on vacation now, but I will be calling as soon as she gets back. What happened to the compassionate, caring vets that used to work here? Clearly they weren't on shift this morning at 8:45a on March 16, 2017. Call and ask who's on duty before you go. If Dr. Keaner is on duty, find another emergency vet.
UPDATE: I took my dog to BluePearl in Gilbert and they were AMAZING! They treated us with kindness and compassion and did a wonderful job as caregivers for animals. This is the place!
