I've passed by this place located in Village Square for years and have always wanted to try it. What better time to come here? When it's Christmas Eve and both myself and my roommate are down in the dumps? What could possibly cheer us up? HOT DOGS, OF COURSE.
So we walk in around 3:30pm and are happy to find that they're open and close at 5pm (phew, we made it!) We are greeted by a smiling face at the cashier. We told him it was our first time and he immediately started explaining the menu. SO... MANY... OPTIONS. It may be intimidating at first, but there is just so much to offer in the world of hot dogs.
We finally made up our minds and I ordered the Bulgogi Dog and my roomie ordered the Mac and Cheese dog. We also ordered a side of fries topped with pork belly, cheddar cheese, and garlic mayo.
The food came out in a timely manner, fresh and hot. We were served at our table. It was love at first bite. The bulgogi that was on top of the all beef hot dog was so juicy and flavorful. The slaw was also very good. I noticed my roomie was already demolishing her Mac and Cheese dog but she willingly let me have a bite of it. Btw, whoever thought of hot dog + mac and cheese + bacon was a freakin' genius. And the fries were so tasty and in a HUGE portion. We had to ask for a to-go box for it so we could sneak them into a movie, lol.
The customer service here is exceptional. The workers are so friendly and very accommodating.
Definitely coming back to try the West Coast Dog!
