I was in the neighbourhood yesterday and decided to take a stroll inside.
It's probably safe to say that, based on sheer size, it could compete with any suburban location. It's ENORMOUS. It has a LOT of stuff, including a canteen-styled eatery, a tea stand, dry cleaners, even a cooking school.
I did a quick pass-through on the first floor - which has a LOT of products and produce - then went up to the second to scope out the Joe Fresh. It's a decent size, and the selection isn't bad. The only downside is that opening day equals a buying frenzy, not to mention lineups for the cash register AND the fitting room - I look one look at that queue and dropped the cute sweaters I wanted to try on.
The only reason I'm giving this a middle-of-the-road rating is because it was opening day and it was just TEEMING with people. I took one look at the long lineups at checkout and was glad I wasn't actually there to BUY my groceries. I'd be overwhelmed.
Maybe I'll go back when things are a bit quieter - if that's even going to be possible for this location.
