The Toronto Zoo is easily a place you can return to again and again with your family. Open everyday but Christmas, the Toronto Zoo is a great place to bring your kids to help them learn about animals from around the world. If a zoo can be classy - then the Toronto one is the kind you'd bring home to your parents.
Spread out over a massive property it's a good idea to follow the Zoo's suggested routes. However, avoid any route that takes you to the North American area. Yes, it's great to see animals from our home and native land, it's found at the bottom of a hill that makes Sherpas take pause.
Reviewer, Amber B., recommended picking up a City Pass that lets you tour several Toronto attractions over the course of nine days - it's an excellent idea and will save you a bundle. If you're looking to save some dollars, visit the zoo in the late fall and early spring when parking is free. And yes you'll want to drive there - the Meadowvale bus that heads into the zoo comes frequently but it's a long bus ride - even from Finch Avenue!
TO SUM IT UP: Excellent for kids and adults, to save some money go anytime but summer.
