| - First time visit. Entering- hit by super strong cologne odor and glares of some staff. Had iced tea - average. Visited at Happy Hour. Had the Frito Misto, cooked well and the calamari was tender, the shrimp was small but good, the sauce was ok. The 8" pizzas are $7 during happy hour so we tried a pepperoni with mozzarella snd basil. It tasted good but it was insanely greasy, pools of it, most I have ever seen on a pizza, not good! Cloth napkin so I couldn't soak it up. Yelp check-in gives you 1/2 off coupon for a dessert, so we tried the chocolate cake. It was a basic chocolate bundt cake with whipped cream. It was to have Amerena (amaretto) cherries, to share we asked for it on the side, this is one of my favorite things, it was a tsp of sauce and 2, count them...2 cherries in a little ramekin, woohoo! Our server was pleasant and efficient but we almost did not stay because of the overwhelming smell of a cologne that I strongly dislike! !! I later determined it was the host with the light colored hair in the short ponytail, toning it down in a place people are eating is wise, we want to smell the food, not cologne! I wanted to sit on a patio in the good weather, but this one overlooks the street and parking lot, right along the driveway, so while it is outside, it is inside a floor to ceiling concrete wall with little opening and a canopy above. The bar has old beautician chairs to sit in and the ladies room has a very old beauty parlor hair dryer chair in the corner. All in all, there are so many choices in Phoenix that I do not anticipate a return visit!
