| - TERRIBLE Part 2!! I placed an order over a week ago, on the website - not only were they late in the scheduled delivery - they literally showed up after 8 pm to my friends house, and with a birthday flower cake with candles and delivery wishing her a Sweet 16!.. (sounds nice, however, it was NOT at all her birthday, and she's not 16!!).
The flower arrangement I selected was a bit of an inside thing, no occasion. It was supposed to be a surpise and by what the arrangement was, would have been very perfect surprise.. Well, the local florist could not create the arrangement - so they substituted a FLOWER BIRTHDAY CAKE.
After calling 800flowers support, they insisted on making it right by giving me a discount on my next order - NEVER - or insisted on sending another bouquet. Well, the element of surprise is over, and the fact that the florist couldn't complete the arrangement I WANT, was the entire point.
Shame. All t he money in marketing, and even appearing on a TV show on what a great company they are - well, contract with florist who can deliver what you offer as a product. PERIOD. Sometimes you only get one chance to make a good impression and fail miserably.
