  • I was a little worried after moving here from New York City that the quality of my hair care was going to go downhill, but since going to Salon 42 it's actually only gotten better. The quality of service at Salon 42 is top-notch, on par with or better than any other place I've tried in this area. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is friendly and low key, and I've always felt very comfortable there. Prices are super reasonable too. I've gotten cuts from several different stylists at Salon 42 and each one really seemed to "get" just what I wanted, even without me being very articulate about it. With one, I just gave him a basic framework and said "do whatever you think would look best" and got one of the most interesting cuts of my life, one that all my friends were complimenting. That's the level of trust you can place in the stylists here. Jessi Jennings is my current go-to stylist and frankly she's amazing. She's methodical, meticulous, and really tries to understand just what it is you want--and then totally delivers. If you're feeling a little iffy about your current stylist, I would definitely give Jessi a try. I'm really really glad that I did.
