If I was a famous chef and they asked me to appear on the show The Best Thing I Ever Ate and it was the Dessert Edition I would choose this place. I know there are lots of if's in my scenario but Art of Flavors is a definite.
The best dessert I have ever had is their namesake the AOF. It is a panini with Nutella, crushed hazelnuts and fior di latte gelato. It is a real ice cream sandwich but calling it an ice cream sandwich sounds wrong. It's like calling a Chanel a bag, umm no it's a Chanel! Well this is the AOF. It's crunchy and hot on the outside the Nutella is warm and the hazelnuts have melted into the bread and Nutella, in the middle the gelato is cold and creamy. It is cut into 2 halves and eaten like a sandwich. It's not messy it remains hot and cold at the same time.
It's perfect.
