Our visit to The Keg Steakhouse was more for my companions benefits than mine. A steakhouse isn't really the ideal place for a vegetarian to eat, but both dishes I ordered were delicious!
Our server was very pleasant and polite and the general atmosphere was nice, no complaints there.
I had a Keg-sized Ceasar to start off (I LOVE the spicy bean garnish - yumm!). I ordered a Baked Brie appetizer - so creamy - accompanied by a tangy Red Pepper Jelly and a powerful Pesto spread with mini crustinis. I unwillingly shared a taste of this appetizer, and I think everyone liked it as much as I did.
I went on the lighter side for my main entree and had a Spinach Salad. Topped with Cranberries, Candied Pecans, Strawberries, and Goat Cheese in a champagne vinagrette, so crisp and refreshing.
I was looking forward to a Double Baked Potato (without bacon) but unfortunately found out that all the ingredients were pre-mixed and there is no vegetarian version of that side dish. A shame really!! So I opted for a baked potato with some kind of garlic-cheese-butter concoction....it didn't disappoint.
But regardless of how good my "regular" baked potato was....my only piece of advise to The Keg is a vegetarian option of the Double Baked Potato.....pretty please! Thanks!
