  • Stayed at the Rio July 14-17 for a birthday. All it all, it was good with very large rooms. I heard that one of the towers was remodeled so I asked for that and got a room that was updated. I also had a view of the strip which I did not ask for so that was nice. The Rio is on the other side of the freeway so we ended up taking cabs quite a bit as I did not rent a car. Did not try the shuttle but every time we went by it there were a lot of peple in line. Tried the Chinese restaurant for dim sum. I knew it would be pretty good because it was full of local Chinese. I booked the Rio through a vacation package on Southwest. I would stay again if I could get a good deal. Just remember that the Rio is not on the strip.
