Maybe I just dont like teppan?
A friend and I came here to eat the lunch special teppan, $8.95-10.95 for chicken/beef/shrimp teppan with soup and salad. While the teppan chef was quite friendly and very entertaining and the service was very good, the food was just 'meh'. My shrimp dish was about four shrimp and a mix of sub-par vegetables with some brown rice and sauce. Thats it. Im not sure what I was expecting, but I think it was more than this. Im wondering if this restaurant just floats on the 'excitement' of the teppan experience?
Anyway, we also got a sushi roll (Katie Maki) just to try it out and it wasnt great either. It was huge with tons of rice that was falling apart. Not great. Overall the experience was decent only because I was there with a good friend, but I wouldnt return. Maybe at night when all the teppan are going it is worth it, but if the food is the same, it isnt worth it to me, even then.
