| - Overpriced and disappointing.
This Travelodge is not the worst motel around Vegas, but given their rates and numerous issues with the room, I wasn't very happy.
I booked a queen sized suite since Wyndham was offering an 85% discount with points. It would be hard to turn that down on a Friday night near the Vegas strip.
The suite was quite large and did include a jacuzzi, which was nice. Cleanliness was good, so there were no problems there. Aside from that, thing after thing kept coming up that knocks points off this review.
For starters, the bed seemed small, certainly not a typical queen size, but slightly larger than a twin bed. The fridge and wine cooler were both very warm from being shut off. It took the fridge at least 3-4 hours to cool down and after 12 hours, the wine cooler only went from 86F to 77F. It couldn't even be used! The room was also HOT upon entry and it took many hours to cool down since it was 109F that day. There was only one small wastebasket in the entire suite and I found that a bit inconvenient.
The problems didn't stop there. I almost forgot to mention that there was no toilet tissue in the room. I went to the front desk to ask for some and the clerk seemed to playfully suggest that I was hoarding the TP... I can take a joke, but he kept going on about it and I'm not sure if he was accusing me of stealing toilet tissue or if he was just awkward.
Finally, there was no hot water for a shower in the morning! It was lukewarm at best and that was very frustrating.
For the location, it's right near the airport and about 15-20 minutes away (walking) from the southern end of the strip.
I would have given them more slack if the rooms weren't retail priced so high, but I can't see the justification.
