  • This is a fantastic school to learn how to dance bachata, salsa, and kizomba. The best thing about this school is how well the classes are organized. These classes are not drop-in so you progress through the basics and learn increasingly complex moves throughout the "semester". Additionally, this is one of the only schools that ensures that everyone has a dance partner during class at all times. They take every possible measure to fill the classes evenly, and when classes are uneven, more experienced dancers get in the rotation and dance with you during class! This is also the only school i have been to that has helpers in every class..these helpers are volunteers that have done the class before and are usually a few levels ahead of the class being taught. Some of them get into rotation and you get the chance to dance with them, while others walk around and make sure that everyone is getting the moves and/or are available for questions. The socials and the outings are tons of fun and the people in the school (students, helpers, teachers) are friendly and helpful.. but you get what you put in.. (don't be afraid to ask people to dance, and be nice (obviously))... if you go to a group class with your significant other you have the option to stay in your pair, or rotate... rotate! otherwise its much harder to learn and you won't meet all the great people around you...oh yes.. you will also get into endless fights about who is the one who is messing up "the move" (i know from experience)...
