This is the second time I visit this little food court place. This time I brough my parents with me for trying more items. We ordered two combo, 1) Taiwanese Dan Dan noodle, hai nan chicken. 2) Lu rou fan (braised mince pork rice) and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Each combo serve with a drink. We choose the most traditional one suanmeitang (sour prune drink)
This Dan Dan noodle is one of the best I've had in GTA. The soup is thick and rich with full of peanut favor. The noodle is the prefect match -- Shanghai shit noodle. However I wish the soup is a bit spicier. But the chef said most customer prefer less spicy but you can request spicy it up a bit to your taste. The hainan chicken is not the most authentic but the chicken is very fresh. The mince pork rice is cook to prefect with old school mama style with an egg cook with the same sauce ..... And the popcorn chicken is freshly deep fried. You can feel the crunchy from the outside and the meat still juicy.... You can taste that chef have made them by order. There is one little thing you cannot miss ..... The sour prune drink !!!! This drink definitely made from scratch. I definitely recommend this little spot !!
Just a small note, they are a family run made to order reaturant so please do not expect 5 minus fast food. But I promise, their food is worth the little wait.... Enjoy
