  • Label... I really want to like you. And last year, I did! When Label first opened, it was the spot to be -- much like most brand new venues. I spent my Halloween there last year - both Saturday and Wednesday nights. The layout for Label is big - with 3 different levels in the main room, and the Ivory Lounge (which I've given its own nickname due to the familiar quilted walls). The third floor is my favorite - sitting high atop the room, and it's not too crowded. They decorate it really nicely usually: good lights, balloons, ribbons, etc. The customer service is what keeps me from coming back. The people at the door can be a bit difficult at times. You have to show your ID twice (okay, I can deal with that) but when someone has a reservation and is trying to communicate with you, it's not helpful to brush them off. Also, filtering male-female can turn into a bad time, especially when you are breaking up groups. Once inside, I've had multiple experiences where the main door girl gives my group the wrong color band. My friends and I ended up having to circle around the entire club, trying to figure out how to handle it, but we ended up wasting 30 minutes and just having to go to the front again. The security is not informed by management about anything, and no one is sure of who is supposed to go where. Even with sponsored after parties and events, the security guys are totally clueless and management is no where to be found to help correct anything. Drinks at the bar... are the typical dance club experience. Not only have I had bad experiences as a patron... I've had it bad working with them. Yup. Doing promotional modeling work, I felt like the creative team was treated very poorly. There was no space for us and we were constantly getting pushed around the entire club, having to move hair, make up, clothing, accessories, etc - all because (once again) management or whoever didn't think to set aside a place for us to prepare. They even made us shove all of our stuff into an unused bathroom - which they kept locked so forget about getting back to your purse or bag. No one was around to help out the people working with them on the event. Once the event was about to start, the security team started cleaning and setting up. Around 9pm. I was very surprised. Leaving the event, our model swag bags were "stolen".... They were left up front with the ladies working the general admission counter, but I guess they neglected to keep track of anything. Table service: I've purchased it once and it was fine - the waitress was someone we knew and she was great. I've heard of other experiences not going as well. Mostly, I just pay for the space to sit down. Honestly... Unless I'm attending a concert, I'll probably go elsewhere.
