  • I was surprised to see that I have not written a review yet for the Cleveland zoo in my own backyard so to speak, especially since I've been a member for atleast the last 7 years. I have to say, I am very happy with the progress that I am seeing the zoo take in its planning and mission. The have been doing a great job at education, maintaining, and developing new structures and ventures. The elephant exhibit was great now the Carousel with the addition of the children's are next to it is wonderful. I"ve seen a lot of progress, Kudo's to the Cleveland Metro Park system for all the work they have accomplished and excellent education they have provided. With all the wonderful optimism that I'm spreading - hate to mention a flaw, but its just constructive criticism. The food court at the main entrance area is defiantly part of the reason I give the zoo a 4 instead of a 4.5, The food court is unhealthy, and the pits. I don't know if McDonalds has some type of contract along with the other venders, but if they could figure out a different food set up and some thing healthy with a better patio area to eat, I would be raving even more, but until then, still a good job as zoo to visit, just pack your own lunch
